Leadership

Guided by Craft.

Ankit Lavania is the Founder of Delta Juris Advisors and an India-based legal counsel. He wears three distinct hats—policy counsel, disputes strategist, and business advisor—representing and guiding high-stakes legal matters where judgment, precision, and execution determine outcomes. In that capacity, in a tax-appeal matter he is handling, the Federal Court of Canada has recognized his role by appointing him as a McKenzie Friend in the proceeding—an uncommon, court-recognized position serving a litigant through trial-level proceedings.

Ankit previously served with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, contributing to policy drafting and trade strategy, including support for bilateral and multilateral trade negotiations and WTO-linked trade-measure matters, with a focus on translating complex government positions into clear, defensible representations.

He also worked as a Senior Legal Associate at SBA Group in New Delhi, advising on complex matters in international economic, trade and commercial laws across jurisdictions. For several years, Ankit has additionally collaborated with U.S.-based attorneys as an extended strategic arm on high-importance civil and commercial disputes—helping drive case direction through legal theory, procedural strategy, negotiation posture, and advocacy services that strengthen positive outcomes.

Ankit holds an LL.M. in International Legal Studies, alongside specialized training in legal negotiation and international business laws, private international laws, conflict of laws, and GATT/WTO fundamentals—bringing an internationally informed perspective to disputes, deals, compliance, and policy.
